Setting up Outlook Express for Paid4Emails Programs

Instructions for Setting up Outlook Express for Paid4Email Programs.

If you do not have a spare unused email address you should firstly go toYahoo or some other pop email provider to sign up for a pop3 email account. I wouldn't recommend using hotmail, they are a hotbed for spam and their mail often takes for ever and a day to load. It is far easier to set up an account at yahoo. Even if you do have a spare email account to use, I would still recommend using yahoo as you can adjust the settings within the yahoo account to forward the email to you at your other email address under their options menu.

Before I go on, I have tried to make this process as unintimidating as I can but if you do not wish to go through this process you can always sign up for a web based email account and I would recommend the email service which I have connected to this site as it is fairly simple and does not take for ever and a day to load your email. I have put a sign-in box at the bottom of this page and you should also be aware that pressing on the 'free email' button will also gain you access to the email address.

If you decide you wish to go ahead with making changes to Outlook Express then when you have your email address created you should take the following steps...

Set up Outlook Express

  1. Load Outlook Express.
  2. Select 'identities' and then 'add new identity under the file menu.
  3. A new box will appear which gives you the opportunity to name your identity. I would recommend calling the identity 'Paid2Surf' or something along those lines. You do not need to give the identity a password as this is not important email but you may do so if you really want to.
  4. When you have named the new identity, press ok.
  5. You will notice that the new identities name has been added to the list of identities and a message appears asking you whether you wish to switch to that identity now. Press the button which says yes.
  6. The next box asks if you wish to keep your current connection, press the button which says yes.
  7. Congratulations, you have created a new identity! You will notice that Outlook Express acts as if it has opened a fresh copy of Outlook Express without all of the email held in the other identities. In Order to swap between identities you need only to select 'switch identity from the file menu and you will be given an option of any identities you currently have. Pick the identity you wish to switch to and this is all there is to it :-)

Set up the email account in Outlook Express

  1. In Outlook Express, go to the 'tools' menu and select 'accounts'.
  2. A new box will come up and on the top right hand side is a button labelled 'add'. Press this button and then select 'mail' from the options menu which comes up to the side of your mouse pointer.
  3. The first box asks you to write your name. You may write anything in this part however most people tend to write their own name. But hell, who am I to tell you what to do? You can call yourself Margaret Thatcher if you like shocking people and being coated in stigma to that degree (g) :-) But anyway, when you have given them a name then press the button marked 'next' at the bottom of the box and you will be taken to the next stage
  4. You are now asked to give them an email address. If you have signed up for an address at yahoo and you wish to use this then it will be yourname@yahoo.com however you may wish to use a different email address and have yahoo forward the mail onto this address. Whatever the email address you are using, write in the box that asks for the address and press 'next'.
  5. The next box asks for your incoming pop3 and outgoing smtp email servers. If you are using a yahoo account then it will probably be pop3.yahoo.com in the first box and smtp.yahoo.com in the second box but you should check this out first and remember that yahoo requires you to change its status from web based email to pop 3 in its settings and the settings will be given to you by yahoo when you have done so. If you are using another email server then they will be able to tell you what those settings are. When you have given the correct pop3 and smtp server addresses then you may press on the next button.
  6. The program now asks you for an account name and password. This is the information that relates to your own individual account. The user name will usually be the first part of your email address. Hence an email address of dave598@yahoo.com will probably give a user name of dave598. When you have given the program this information, press the button marked 'next'.
  7. All that is left now is to press the button marked 'finished' to close this wizard and then 'close' in the box which you selected it from the 'add' menu from, and you have finished! Congratulations! Press on the button marked 'send/recv' and this will now download any email available.

So there you have it. You are now set up to take email from the get paid for email programs without it clogging up your email program with useless email. Go to the paid4email identity as often or as infrequently as you like. It will not give you any problems :-) Please show your support by signing up to as many of those paid4email programs as you can and remember, you are paid extra for referring your friends so please do refer them! Remember to bookmark this page though to explain to them how to set their copy of outlook express up to make money for themselves without the pain!
