Well this is one that many find hard to believe but actually I see little reason why that should be the case! Face it, if the local commercial radio stations can make a profit then why should this concept be any different? It is fairly easy to make this type of program profitable and you too can share in those profits.

And have you ever thought when listening to the band playing on the radio that you would like to just be able to press on a link on your computer and buy? Well this is another way in which paid to listen to the radio programs will make a profit. So if you do not believe this will work then stop being so cynical and give it a try! The music is great (if you are listening to my favorite channels and if not then you have no taste anyway!) and that on its own is worth giving your support to!

What can I say? Well there are a couple of these companies out there but this particular one is probably the best. The problem is that this concept is still fairly new and so none of these paid to listen programs are quite ready to launch just yet. This program is probably your best bet however. Their music is good and its worth signing up in order to ensure that you are in this one for when the program is finally launched as a paying program.

Cash Radio appears to have over 100 channels and caters for all tastes in music. Hey, even my favorite music which is punk rock and ska are catered for so they are bound to cater for yours! Big band? Classical? Funk? Rock 'n' Roll? Yep, all catered for.

Cash Radio, when they are finally launched will pay you $0.20 per hour that you listen to their music with a further $0.08 for every hour one of your direct referrals listens and $0.04 for every hour one of your indirect referrals (referral of your referral) listens to their music, to a maximum 4 levels (1 direct and 3 indirect). They support most computer platforms and you do not have to be a citizen of the USA or Canada to join.

In order to ensure that you are still listening to their music, they use a system of audio prompting where you click on a button when prompted. Not too much to do, the trouble is that music tends to become a background noise that you find yourself not actually listening to? Well... maybe you don't but I do. Other than this its excellent. Its one that I really do like!

I would just repeat all the above really for this program. Like the above however, this program is not yet paying and this is the reason for both sites low rating.

Yep, its another 'get paid to listen to internet radio' program. Every so often you will hear and advertisement and you will need to respond in order to verify that you are still there. You can listen to music through either RealPlayer or Windows Media Player, but to get paid you must use Windows Media Player. Payout is monthly when your account exceeds $20.

They pay a cash reward for referring friends as well as giving you a percentage of their referral time however as none of this is yet being paid and they say that it is subject to change without notice its pointless going into this right now. The fact is that there is only one get paid to listen to the radio program available as stated below and even that does not pay you, it only offers the chance to win money.

Dic Radio

This program is part of the Desktop Dollars program which is actually designed to pay you for banner space at the top of your screen. But it also has a paid email program and this new addition which is Dic Radio.

Dic Radio is fairly limited in respect of the number of radio stations that it has and it does not give me punk rock music. This is the reason it has not received a higher rating really. Its available music consists of 'alternative', 'top 40' (though no indication of which top 40), 'hip hop', 'country' and 'alternative' (which I would rate lower than 'country but thats just me). If you like any of these types of music then you can add a couple of rating points to the total.

Desktop Dollars are highly recommended in any event for their pay bar program which only requires you to be at the computer and connected to the web in any event. Dic Radio gives you the chance to win US$25,000 up until 1st November and in addition there are smaller prizes of $20 music gift vouchers you can win. In and of itself it will not pay you just yet (other than the view bar) but as it is the only paid to listen to the radio program where it will give anything to anybody for listening to the radio that I am aware of, this is the program for you to sign up to if you are interested in such a program!
